Authorities say an officer was wounded and a suspect dead killed during a gunfight in Hutchinson, MN, Sunday night.
The Hutchinson Police Department responded to the 500 block of Harmony Lane SW in Hutchinson at about 4:13 p.m. Sunday on a report of a verbal disturbance. When officers arrived, they spoke with an adult male suspect and after a period of time, a struggle ensued and shots were fired. An officer at the scene was shot and injured. The officer was taken to a Hutchinson Hospital before being airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with a non-life threatening leg injury, CBS Minnesota reports.
Officers returned fire on the suspect, who was shot and killed at the scene. The suspect has not been identified.
