Video: Memphis Officer Suspended Over Rap Video
A Memphis police officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into a rap video in which the officer allegedly appears alongside suspected members of a local gang.
A Memphis police officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into a rap video in which the officer allegedly appears alongside suspected members of a local gang, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Police identified the officer as Paris Glass, a seven-year veteran of MPD. She’s been relieved of duty and is on non-enforcement status pending the outcome of an administrative hearing. MPD isn’t pointing out exactly where she appears in the video. She is not the lead vocalist, according to WREG TV.
It’s not the first time a rap video has gotten a Memphis cop in hot water. In 2012, the department had to deal with Officer Candyance Davis, also known as Quolove, an aspiring rapper who sang about violence and getting paid.
