Police say 23-year-old Kentucky State Police Trooper Eric Chrisman was in his cruiser responding to a reckless driving complaint when he lost control in a curve and crossed into the path of a tractor trailer.

Police say 23-year-old Kentucky State Police Trooper Eric Chrisman was in his cruiser responding to a reckless driving complaint when he lost control in a curve and crossed into the path of a tractor trailer on US 62 near Grand Rivers June 23, reports WHAS .
Trooper Chrisman, who had just graduated the academy in January, was killed in the crash. WLEX-TV reports the tractor trailer driver was treated and released at a nearby hospital.
