The Dec. 30, 2024, incident began with a traffic stop by a Lawrence (Indiana) Police officer.
Video captured from the officer’s vehicle shows the suspect—later identified by law enforcement as 48-year-old Kenneth Thaddeus Roberts Jr.—pull over into a parking lot and let out a passenger. He then drove away despite warnings from the officer not to do so.
