Sgt. Rey Rodriguez of the Bulloch County (GA) Sheriff's Office received a Lifesaving Medal for rescuing a 10-year-old boy who was trapped under an ATV last Wednesday, reports WTOC .
Charlie Waters and his sister had overturned their family's ATV, and Charlie was pinned underneath. Rodriquez was able to use a new tool to lift the vehicle and free the boy.
“When I could see the young child, the ATV was sitting right on top of his neck,” said Sgt. Rodriquez. “I remembered I'd put a strap in the bag, just in case. It came in handy that day,” he said.
The quick action earned him a Lifesaving Medal from the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office and the gratitude of Charlie’s mom.
