Video: "Cajun Captain" Clay Higgins Places "Thin Blue Line" Flag Outside His Congressional Office

Former St. Landry Parish (LA) Sheriff's captain Clay Higgins, who vaulted to fame in a series of local Crime Stoppers videos, is now a U.S. Congressman. Congressman Higgins recently placed a "Thin Blue Line" flag honoring the service and sacrifice of American law enforcement outside of his Washington, DC, office.

Former St. Landry Parish (LA) Sheriff's captain Clay Higgins, who vaulted to fame in a series of local Crime Stoppers videos, is now a U.S. Congressman. Congressman Higgins recently placed a "Thin Blue Line" flag honoring the service and sacrifice of American law enforcement outside of his Washington, DC, office.

Higgins serves Louisiana's 3rd District and remains a reserve law enforcement officer. He resigned from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office in February 2016.

Congressman are allowed to place three flags outside of their offices. In addition to the "Thin Blue Line" flag, Higgins has a U.S. flag and a Louisiana flag.
