Video: Australian Officer Gives Water to Thirsty Kangaroo in Wildfire

A viral video surfaced on Monday showing an officer with the New South Wales Police Service giving a thirsty kangaroo water by pouring it from a plastic bottle into his cupped hand.

The agency posted the video on Facebook with the caption, "Officers giving a helping hand to local wildlife in fire affected Bendalong. Our thoughts are with all those impacted."

Bendalong is not far from where the fires—which are burning all over the land down under—is most intense, on the southeast coast of the country.
