A reported kidnapping incident in an Oklahoma City motel Wednesday ended with two officers shot, two suspects shot, and the reported victim dead.
Captain Dexter Nelson told KFOR TV, officers received a call of a female being held against her will at the Plaza Inn, located near S.E. 44th St. and I-35 Service Rd., around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
The officers went to the room where the woman was reportedly being held and knocked on the door. Nelson says they were met with gunfire and returned fire into the room.
Capt. Nelson says one of the alleged suspects grabbed a woman and made his way down the I-35 Service Rd. when an officer pulled up.
Nelson says that is when the alleged suspect shot and killed the woman and an officer, in turn, shot the suspect.
Both wounded officers are in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
One suspect is in critical condition; the other is in serious condition.
As many as five suspects may have been involved.
