VF Imagewear's Tewmey to Chair Uniform Manufacturers Association Board

The North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors (NAUMD) has announced the election of its board of directors and officers for 2014-15. Elected by the NAUMD membership for a two-year term, the 2014-15 executive committee includes: Jim Tewmey, VF Imagewear, chairman; and Brian Garry, Cintas, vice chairman.

Other elected board members include: Phil Newman, PSC Uniform Apparel by Cobmex, treasurer; Margaret Ramsdale of Omega Uniform Systems, member at large; Richard J. Lerman, NAUMD president, secretary; and Steve Robinson, Liberty Uniform Mfg. Co., as immediate past chairman.

As NAUMD chair, Tewmey brings extensive experience from the apparel industry. He has served as vice chair of NAUMD as well as chair of the NAUMD Strategic Planning Committee. His work with VF Imagewear ( Horace Small ) includes sales oversight of the company's public safety, industrial, FR safety and Image Apparel areas of the company’s business.

Tewmey has set the following three initiatives as key to his tenure as NAUMD Chair: coordinate efforts to grow all NAUMD business segments, increase dealer member participation, and establish the NAUMD as the industry’s premier organization to encourage growth and participation
