Va. Police Shoot, Kill Man Who Struck Officer

Norfolk (Va.) Police shot and killed the driver of a cream-colored Mercedes who struck an officer in a bank parking lot on Monday.

Officers responded to the Wells Fargo at 21st Street and Colonial Avenue about 2:40 p.m. for a report of someone trying to pass a bad check, reports the Virginian-Pilot .

As officers approached the vehicle, the driver accellerated and struck one of the officers. A second officer shot and killed 22-year-old Joshua Johnson.
