U.S. Park Police Arrest 31 Occupiers Over Wooden Structure

U.S. Park Police officers arrested 31 Occupy D.C. protesters who had erected a wooden structure in a park two blocks from the White House.

Officers used a cherry picker to pluck several protesters from the roof of the structure on Sunday night, and attempted to coax others to jump onto an inflated cushion, reports the New York Times.

The structure had been declared unsafe, and protesters ignored lawful orders from officers to come down from it.
