Undercover PA Detective Rescues Kidnapped Woman and Child

An undercover Wilkes Barre, PA, police detective spotted a kidnapping suspect in a local Walmart store and rescued a woman and her child from a kidnapping suspect Tuesday.

Wilkes Barre Police were contacted by investigators in Virginia regarding the woman and her child who were reportedly kidnapped by an armed suspect and taken to Pennsylvania.

The suspect is in custody due to lack of ability to pay $250,000 bail, the Wilkes Barre PD reported on Facebook .
