Tru-Spec has added three waterproof, weatherproof jackets and a pair of rain pants to its 24-7 Seriesline of on-duty and off-duty tactical apparel. All four outerwear items feature an waterproof WeatherShield shell made from 100 percent nylon with a waterproof, clear breathable coating, as well as convenience features designed specifically for law enforcement officers.
The WeatherShield3-in-1 jacket is based on Tru-Spec's popular 24-7 Series3-in-1 jacket. The waist-length jacket can be worn as an unlined jacket or as a lined jacket with the zip-in fleece liner. Also the fleece liner can be worn separately as a cool weather coverup.
Police-friendly features include easily accessible pockets, smooth operating zippers and hook-and-loop fasteners, microphone or sunglass loops, chest pocket with ID tag, and aback yoke with cape opening and detachable ID panel.
The WeatherShield 3-in-1 parka is slightly longer and provides protection against the elements both on duty and off duty. As with the jacket, this parka can be worn either lined or unlined, or the fleece liner can be worn as a stand-alone jacket.
Features include zip-off, rollable and stowable hood, horizontal waist pockets with zipper closures covered by pocket flaps, horizontal chest pockets with zipper closures and vertical upper chest document pockets with waterproof zipper, large sleeve pockets, mic or sunglass loops, chest pocket with ID tag, extended side zipper seam for easy access to a sidearm other other equipment on a duty belt, as well as a back yoke with cape opening and detachable ID panel.
The WeatherShield Windbreaker is designed for milder temperatures. The windbreaker's waterproof nylon shell provides comfortable, lightweight protection against wet, rainy weather.
The features include a back yoke with cape opening and detachable ID panel, microphone or sunglasses loop, chest pockets with hook-and-loop closures with internal panels for ID patches, inside hidden pencil pocket, underarm gussets for ease of movement and internal one-hand cord lock for cinching the jacket waist.
The WeatherShieldrain pants help keep you dry with the waterproof and windproof WeatherShield shell that's also breathable so air can circulate to help keep you cool and perspiration free. The rain pants are designed to fit over most standard pants. Features include bellowed and flapped cargo pockets and flapped back pockets. The pants include a shell with fully taped seams that area also fully lined.
Other features include a zipper fly front, double snap waist closure, water resistant zippered front hand pockets, flapped back pockets with hook-and-loop closures, cargo pockets with hook-and-loop closures, 2 3/4-inch belt loops and an articulated knee.
