Trio of Va. Officers Injured In Truck Pursuit

The driver of a Dodge Ram pickup rammed two Hopewell (Va.) Police cruisers and attempted to run down a third officer during a pursuit Sunday evening that ended with the suspect in custody.

Officers arrested Jonathan F. Landon, 31, in Chester following the wild chase that began at around 5 p.m. when Landon struck a building with his vehicle. Landon fled from responding officers, who opened fire after he struck the first police cruiser head on.

At some point, Landon sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. He was taken into custody after his vehicle became immobilized, reports WWBT .

The officers are expected to fully recover, Hopewell Police Chief John Keohane told WRIC .
