TREXPO East Conference and Trade Show Begins Tuesday with Sold-Out Expo Floor and Exciting Keynotes

Some of the top manufacturers of law enforcement first responder equipment and gear will be showing their latest products next week at TREXPO East Conference and Trade Show. The show held at the Dulles Convention Center in Chantilly, Va., will feature the largest collection of law enforcement vendors ever at a TREXPO event.

Prior to the opening of the exposition floor on Wednesday Aug. 27, Maj. James Land, U.S.M.C. retired, will speak from 8 to 10 a.m. Land, who was instrumental in the training of Marine snipers and is now secretary of the National Rifle Association, has been training law enforcement officers to be more effective with rifles since the 1970s. His keynote presentation is titled “Law Enforcement Precision Rifle Training.”

On Thursday Aug. 28, retired CIA officer Felix I. Rodriguez, will speak on counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations. Rodriguez, author of “Shadow Warrior: The CIA Hero of a Hundred Unknown Battles,” is a veteran of numerous Agency operations, including the Bay of Pigs, the capture of Che Guevara, and counter-insurgency missions in Vietnam and El Salvador. Since 9/11, Rodriguez has helped law enforcement and military units develop intelligence, counter-terrorism, and counter-insurgency strategies and tactics. He will speak from 8 to 11 a.m.

The expo and the keynote presentations by Land and Rodriguez are free to law enforcement and military personnel.

The TREXPO conference begins Tuesday and features five tracks of timely and potentially life-saving law enforcement training, including hands-on defensive tactics courses, classroom training on active shooter and gang response, and in-depth discussions of new equipment and tactics.
