According to ClickHouston.com, officers with the Humble (TX) Police Department were called to a home after someone reported they were suffering from chest pains.
Police said that when first responders arrived at the scene, a man chased them with a sword.
Officers ordered the man to drop the weapon and attempted to subdue the subject with an ECD, which reportedly failed to have an effect. The man then charged at the officers with the sword and an officer shot him in the leg three times, police say.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
