Texas Officer Foils Convenience Store Robbery

An officer with the Laredo (TX) Police Department spotted a suspicious person—wearing a T-shirt over his head as a ski mask, and socks covering his arms up to the elbows—and decided he should look into the matter more closely. It appears doing so may have prevented a robbery.
According to KGNS-TV, the police say the officer approached the man—identified as 17-year-old Michael David Coss—as he was nearing a convenience store.
The officer conducted a search of the suspect and found him in possession of an electronic control device and placed him under arrest. Further investigation revealed that the man had an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery. Coss was served with the outstanding warrant and taken to Webb County Jail.
