A Tarrant County, Texas, sheriff's deputy who was shot twice during an off-duty security job in Fort Worth credit union on Monday afternoon is out of surgery and recovering.
"I’m absolutely delighted to report that our deputy went through surgery and the outlook is good," said Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn on Monday night.

Sheriff Waybourn said the deputy was shot once in the lower abdomen and once in the chest, Fox 4 reports.
Sheriff Waybourn confirmed Deputy Brown did return fire after the suspect shot him.
After a brief manhunt, police confirmed a suspect was in custody. He has since been identified as 35-year-old Leland Williams.
Williams is now in the Tarrant County jail charged with attempted capital murder of a peace officer. His bond was set at $100,000.
