A terminally ill 12-year-old became the youngest member of the Brighton (Colo.) Police Department when he was sworn in as a member of the department on Friday.

Jose Rubio-Pavon, a fifth-grader, had told his family he had always wanted to be a cop. He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, reports 9 News .
