Tennessee Officer Struck by Vehicle at Traffic Stop

An officer with the Gallatin (TN) Police Department who was struck by a passing vehicle during a traffic stop on Friday is "awake and alert," the agency said on Facebook .

Officer Daniel Green was backing up another officer conducting a traffic stop when he was hit.

Green was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His exact condition has not been released.
