A California SWAT team raided a home in a San Bernardino County nudist resort Thursday, and police arrested a man on suspicion of murder in connection with the disappearance of a missing couple. Today, police reported a cadaver dog had possibly detected a body.

Thursday, police used a Tac Cat from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to breach the subject’s home and conduct a search using remote video equipment.

“Due to extensive damage, the structure will need to be made safe before searchers can enter,” the Redlands Police Department announced in a social media post this morning.

Olive Dell Ranch, which promotes itself online as a family-friendly nudist resort, is where Stephanie Menard, 73, and Daniel Menard, 79, were last seen on Aug. 24, reported KTLA5. They were later reported missing when they did not show up for church.

The missing couple lived at the resort and were neighbors to 62-year-old Michael Royce Sparks, who has now been arrested and is being held in connection with suspicion of murder.

Carl Baker, Public Information Officer for the City of Redlands, told FOX11 Sparks was found underneath the home, and investigators are confident the missing couple’s bodies are on Sparks’ property.

A cadaver dog from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was deployed Friday morning, and police reported it detected one body, but the search would need to be delayed until the area was safe to search due to the damage.
