Suspected Drug Runners Rescue Spanish Police Officers on High Seas

A group of suspected drug traffickers who were fleeing a police boat off the coast of Spain ended up rescuing their pursuers after the two watercraft collided on Friday.

According to Fox News , the incident happened off the coast of Costa del Sol after Spanish maritime patrol agents were trying to intercept a boat suspected of carrying drugs that had four people on board.

The two vessels collided, causing three police officers to be ejected from their boat and into the water.

A police helicopter also in pursuit called out over a loudspeaker, asking the suspected drug runners to provide assistance to the three officers in the water.

They hauled the officers aboard, and were then arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking.
