Suspect in Colo. Mall Bomb Scare Arrested

The man suspected of placing a failed explosive device inside a Jefferson County, Colo., mall last week was arrested this morning in Boulder after someone spotted him drinking coffee at Starbucks inside a King Soopers, sources said.

Earl Albert Moore, 65, was arrested shortly before 7:30 a.m. at the King Soopers at Table Mesa Drive and Broadway, Boulder police spokesperson Kim Kobel said.

King Soopers spokeswoman Kelli McGannon said a customer noticed Moore drinking coffee around 6:30 a.m. and told a manager, who called 911.

When Moore realized police were coming into the store in pursuit of him, he tried to leave but was apprehended by Boulder police in the parking lot.
