Police were forced to step in during a tense standoff in a polygamous community on the Utah-Arizona border when members of Warren Jeffs' sect blocked a former follower from taking her children, reports the Associated Press .
Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said deputies were in Colorado City, Ariz., for seven hours Friday until they received a search warrant to enter the home of an aunt who refused to give the kids to their mother.
