South Carolina Standoff Ends Without Incident as Burglary Suspect Surrenders

Officers with the Charleston (SC) Police Department were able to bring an armed standoff with a burglary suspect to a peaceful conclusion when the subject surrendered without incident on Wednesday afternoon.

According to WCSC , officers had previously tried to serve a warrant on the man—who has not yet been identified—when he shut himself in a residence.

Officers were heard communicating with the suspect over a loudspeaker during the incident.

Law enforcement personnel with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and Georgetown Police Department were also involved in the incident.
