After shredding more than 1,000 seized weapons, the Los Angeles Police Department donated the remnants to a nonprofit artists' group who plans to incorporate them into a three-foot angel sculpture in downtown.
The move shows that "we take a stand against gun violence," LAPD Chief Charlie Beck told Southern California Public Radio.
