Daymond John, investor and "Shark Tank" star, is offering financial aid to the family of the heroic retired officer killed in the Buffalo grocery store shooting last Saturday.
The son of Aaron Salter Jr., the retired Buffalo police officer who shot it out with the killer, told TMZ that John recently called him and struck up a conversation, getting emotional and offering to help with funeral expenses and other bills.
John told Aaron Salter III he saw some photos online of Officer Salter with cardboard cutouts of the "Shark Tank" star. The retired officer's son told the multi-millionaire that his father was a big fan of the show and of John.
The family is also crowdfunding to set up a non-profit dedicated to Officer Salter. Their GoFundMe was at $41,000 at press time.
