A second Rapid City (S.D.) Police Department officer involved in a gunfight that claimed one of his colleagues has succumbed to gunshot wounds from the encounter.
Officer Nick Armstrong, 27, died five days after Officer James Ryan McCandless, 28. Officer Armstrong, a two-year officer, died Sunday. Officer Tim Doyle was shot in the face and is recovering.
Officer Armstrong was patrolling on bicycle when he was shot, reports Denise DePaolo of KSFY.
