In preparation for Police Week 2015, The Safariland Group is pleased to recognize Officers Andrew Taylor and Garret Osilka who will be riding in the Police Unity Tour from May 9–12 toward the Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. As officers who were once shot while protecting our communities, Officer Taylor and Osilka will embark on this emotional 250-mile fundraising bike ride as they honor their brothers and sisters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Officer Taylor, Safariland Group SAVE #997, was saved by the company's body armor in 2007. He is a 20-year veteran of the LAPD and currently works in the Foothill Division. His fellow rider, Officer Garret Osilka, SAVE #1885, is a member of the Loveland Police Department in Colorado, where he lives with his wife and family. You can follow their stories on The Safariland Group Facebook page .
