Safariland has introduced Break Free Chain Lube for bicycles and other chain-driven equipment, according to the company.

Chain Lube, which overcomes friction and wear in the most demanding and adverse conditions, is among several new products introduced as part of the new Safariland Patrol Bike product line.

Chain Lube is a formulation of multiple ingredients consisting of extreme pressure-resistant synthetic oils and anti-wear inhibitors that provide a  well-lubricated slick metal treatment for prolonged use. Chain Lube resists build-up of dust, dirt, sand. and grit while withstanding high ambient temperature and pressures, according to the company.

The formula will not break down to form waxy residues under heat and pressure or with age. Chain Lube increases the performance of any mechanism that turns, pivots, pulls, screws, rotates, slides or coils on bicycles, motorcycles or any chain driven equipment, according to Safariland.

Chain Lube is sold in a two-ounce bottle with dropper tip applicator. It retails for $4.98. The company also plans to realease Precise Lube, a needle applicator version, that provides an exact and targeted application in hard to reach spots. Precise Lube is expected to be available by late summer.
