Commencing March 29-April 1, 2010 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., POLICE Magazine and TREXPO have joined forces to deliver one knock-out conference and expo: POLICE-TREXPO.

How do you make the show that's been the original tactical show in the country even better? You make it bigger and broader and bring in cops of all stripes, whether they're tactical or patrol-because these days, everyone is a first responder, and everyone needs to hone their tactics and learn about new equipment. Defenseless victims cannot always wait on the arrival of SWAT. Law enforcement agencies must train and equip all patrol officers in rapid response because patrol is first on-site and the first to fight.

"The merging of POLICE-TREXPO will bring in bigger crowds if we cast a wider net and develop a conference and expo that appeal to the same groups of people TREXPO and POLICE do: everyone from SWAT to patrol to training officers and sergeants," said Leslie Pfeiffer, POLICE Magazine Publisher and Show Chair. TREXPO has grown to include first responders, federal agents, military, security, and corrections, but its original mission of providing first-class training to our nation's brave men and women has not changed.

POLICE-TREXPO will also be co-located with the Campus Safety Conference this year. With violence on hospital and school campuses growing at an alarming rate, the sworn officers who safeguard these institutions, as well as the directors of security who oversee campus safety, need some of the very same products and training our law enforcement attendees do. We'll have educational tracks customized for each specific audience's need.

Additionally, POLICE-TREXPO features keynote addresses by powerful speakers from the law enforcement and military communities, classes taught by the best of the best in close-quarter combat and law enforcement tactics and techniques, and a world-class exposition of the latest law enforcement products and technologies.

Attendees who register before March 5 will save $100. For more information visit www.TREXPO.com or call (800) 576-8788.

Why Tennessee’s New Deadly Force Law Matters Beyond Tennessee

Tennessee’s new deadly force law is more limited than many may realize. But it could have far-reaching influence.
