Police Fatally Shoot Woman With Meat Cleaver

Modesto (Calif.) police shot to death a woman on a Catherine Everett Elementary School playground on Dec. 15 after she allegedly entered school grounds and began hitting herself in the head with a meat cleaver, reports Fox News.

Children were on the playground when the unidentified woman entered the campus. The students were immediately ushered into classrooms and the school was placed on lockdown, reports The Modesto Bee.

The woman was hit with at least one bullet. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital. No students or school staff were reported injured.
