According to CBS News, the Philadelphia Phillies, and All-Star Outfielder Shane Victorino sent messages of support to the officers who were wounded in the shooting.
The Philadelphia Phillies said, "Our thoughts are with the members of @PhillyPolice injured today and everyone working to resolve the situation currently happening in North Philadelphia."
Victorino said, "Prayers to all the @PhillyPolice Officers."
The Philadelphia Eagles, as well as safety Malcolm Jenkins and tight end Zach Ertz and recently retired defensive end Chris Long also weighed in.
The Eagles said, "Our thoughts are with the @PhillyPolice, their families, and all of North Philadelphia at this time."
Jenkins said, "My thoughts are with those 6 Philly officers who are recovering in the hospital."
Ertz said, "Praying for our city and our @PhillyPolice tonight #PhillyStrong"
Long said, "Praying for the officers involved. Hope everyone stays safe up there."
All six officers who were shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries and have been released from the hospital.
