Pennsylvania School Resource Officers Argue Against Removal from Schools

The written testimony included stories of officers in schools discovering students who were attempting to bring weapons and drugs into schools, providing first aid, and stopping armed adults attempting to intrude.

They also spoke about the relationships they have built with students over their time serving the schools in the district.

Officers with the Pittsburgh (PA) Police Department who have been working in city schools for many years submitted written testimony in defense of their work to protect the students at those institutions as a movement grows to remove those officers from the schools.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette , the group of officers submitted written testimony that was read before the school board Tuesday.
