Pennsylvania Officer Responding to Domestic Dispute Assaulted by Subject

An officer with the Wilson Borough (PA) Police Department was struck in the head Sunday night by a combative subject who was attempting to assault another man during a domestic incident, police report.

According to LehighValleyLive.com , police say the subject—identified as Xeane Germaine Allen—was attempting to strike an unidentified man as officers tried to restrain the assailant.

While trying to get a punch off over Officer James Siegfried, Allen's fist struck the officer in the left side of the head.

Allen now faces charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, assault, and harassment.

The condition of the officer was not released but police say he is expected to be okay.
