The 0550 Transport case arrives with two integrated automatic pressure-equalization valves that keep moisture out and prevent vacuum lock, ensuring the case is easier to open at any altitude. The lid is equipped with locking hinges (lid stays) that ensure the case remains in the open position.
Optional available features include heavy duty caster wheels (each rated to handle 250 pounds) and detachable pallet risers for forklift transport.
Similar to other Pelican Protector cases, the 0550 Transport case's open cell-core wall, polymer construction protects sensitive equipment from severe conditions. It's built to fit six cases on an extra-large, military style 463L Master Pallet (88-by-108 inches) and features a "honeycomb" style, reinforced lid that provides extra support when stacking multiple cases.
The case also arrives with a removeable 4-by-6 inch, clear identification document holder, and a lid equipped with a polymer "O" ring for a dust and water-resistant seal. Dual-action latches that have been tested to withstand nearly 400 pounds of pressure (but open with a light pull), and two double-wide grips for team lifting are also featured.
The 0550 Transport case without foam, pallet risers or caster wheels retails for $909.95.
