Parole Denied for Minnesota Cop Killer

The man who shot and killed Minneapolis Police Officer Richard Miller in 1981 was denied parole at a hearing late last week.

According to Minnesota Public Radio , Isaac Brown has been in a work-release program that requires him to live at a halfway house.

Minnesota Corrections Commissioner Paul Schnell said that individuals with life sentences have the right to a status review three years before they are eligible for parole but there’s no presumption of parole.

In the shooting incident that left Miller dead, the officer was talking with a female passenger when the gunman exited the vehicle and opened fire, fatally striking Miller.
