An Allentown (Pa.) Police Department officer was fired on Wednesday for taking a Popsicle and two baseballs from a minor-league baseball stadium while on night patrol.

An Allentown (Pa.) Police Department officer was fired on Wednesday for taking a popsicle and two baseballs from a minor-league baseball stadium while on night patrol.

The City Council voted unanimously to dismiss Officer Robert H. Leuthardt, who allegedly took two used baseballs, which were likely used for batting practice, out of a golf cart. He also took a Popsicle from a concession stand at Coca-Cola Park, the home of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, reports The Morning Call .
