Ohio Officer Struck by Passing Vehicle While Investigating Traffic Collision

An officer with the Macedonia (OH) Police Department was injured when he was struck by a passing car while investigating a traffic collision on Saturday night.

According to WOIO-TV , Officer Brandon Heisler suffered a broken ankle when a vehicle passing the site of a vehicle collision struck him from behind.

Firefighters present raced to the officer's aid.

The driver involved in the incident was issued a citation.
