According to ABC News, 39-year-old Officer Nicholas Sabo took his own life on the same night that Cleveland police detective James Skernivitz was shot and killed in the line of duty as he sat in a car with a confidential informant.
Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association president Jeff Follmer said in a statement, "We are in shock at the news of the passing of officer Nick Sabo. He was a great officer and friend. Our hearts our heavy today with the amount of loss we are feeling."
