A Franklin County (OH) Sheriff’s Office deputy shot in the line of duty earlier this month has been released from Grant Medical Center, reports 10tv.com .
Deputy Jacob Heaberlin , 29, was escorted home by deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Columbus Division of Police.
Heaberlin, a seven-year veteran of the agency, was shot in his abdomen, just below his protective vest, after he pulled over a suspect who opened fire.
