A Montgomery County (Ohio) Sheriff's detective has been fired, after evidence came to light showing he had lied about a sexual relationship with an informant, reports the Dayton Daily News.
Deputy Det. Steve Gardiner, a 15-year veteran, had spent the past two years in the sheriff's drug unit assigned to a DEA task force.
