Officers Attempting to Administer Aid to Shooting Victim Attacked by That Victim

Two officers—one male and one female—with the St. Louis Police Department who were attempting to administer aid to a shooting victim was bitten, kicked, and punched by that very individual.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch , police say the gunshot victim was reportedly a 23-year-old man who was eventually subdued by other responding officers and transported to a nearby hospital in critical and unstable condition.

The female officer who was attacked has been with the department nearly 14 years and the male officer has eight years of experience with the department.

The officers suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.
