Off-Duty NYPD Cop Takes Down Belligerent Man During Flight

A vacationing New York Police officer took down and handcuffed a man who punched a flight attendant during a JetBlue flight.

Officer Anibal Mercado noticed a passenger becoming unruly about an hour into his flight home from the Dominican Republic. Antonio Ynoa, 22, became angry when a flight attendant asked him to put away his duty-free alcohol.

Ynoa began yelling and punched an attendant several times. Flight attendants brought plastic handcuffs, which Officer Mercado used when taking Ynoa into custody, reports the New York Daily News .
