Hours after New York Police officers cleared Occupy Wall Street protesters from Zuccotti Park in an early Tuesday morning raid that netted 200 arrests, protesters returned to the park again.
NYPD officers cleared out the kitchen area of the park at about 3:30 a.m., arresting protesters who had formed a human chain. By 6:30 a.m., protesters obtained a judge's order allowing them to return with "tents and other property."
About 50 people had been allowed back into the park, before the NYPD closed it at 8:10 a.m. to sort out legal issues, reports the New York Daily News.
Later in the day, State Supreme Court Justice Michael Stallman upheld the city's eviction of the protesters after an emergency appeal by the National Lawyers Guild, reports CBS News.
