N.Y. Man Accused of Releasing Pit Bulls on Officers

Officers responding to a domestic dispute at a Rochester, N.Y., home faced two charging pit bulls, allegedly released by a man who refused to respond to repeated attempts to contact him.

A Rochester Police officer fired at the lead dog, striking him. The dogs then retreated to the rear of the house, where they were later captured by animal control personnel.

Brandon Jones, 25, is now in jail, and has been charged with a pair of misdemeanors — second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
