A man who reportedly stole a police car died in a collision with a tractor-trailer truck on Monday.
According to WDAY-TV , the man—who was the subject of a welfare check—suddenly jumped into the driver's seat of a Grand Forks (ND) Police Department patrol vehicle and quickly accelerated away.
