NM Active Shooter Kills 3, Injures 2 Officers

At least three people are dead and two officers injured following a shooting in Farmington, NM, Monday, according to the Farmington Police Department.

The suspect was confronted by law enforcement and shot and killed, Farmington police say. Multiple Farmington officers and New Mexico State Police troopers are on site.

The injured officers were shot, but the extent of their injuries has not been released. They have been identified as a Farmington police officer and a NMSP trooper. They have been treated at a local hospital and are in stable condition, Farmington Police report .

An exact location of the attack has not been released. Fox 8 reports it was near Brookside Park and started at 11 a.m.
