A central New Jersey police officer is recovering after suffering serious injuries when he was dragged by a motor vehicle, reports the Associated Press .
The New Brunswick (N.J.) PD officer had an encounter with 24-year-old Donell Cook, who was in a vehicle. Cook drove away, dragging the officer approximately 50 feet until he hit a parked vehicle. Cook then allegedly attempted to disarm the officer, who was able to fight him off.
