Mount Arlington (N.J.) Police officer Joseph Wargo was killed when a drunk driver traveling at a high rate of speed collided with his patrol car early Sunday.
Officer Wargo, 38, was on patrol when he was struck while driving east on Route 80 at about 1 a.m. The officer was struck by Michael Cassella, 29, who was intoxicated and driving west when he lost control of his Mitsubishi Lancer, crossed the median, and slammed into Wargo's marked car.
